Omeprazole? I can't remember
11:36 PM
Nothing to do with mania, just is a compulsion that inhibits the part of the brain that handles risk assessment I'mguessing
11:36 PM
My partner never gambled but he did take a lot of risks that were generally unecessary just "for fun"
Avatar
that kinda sounds like mania from here idk
Avatar
idk, I'm crazy as hell so its hard for me to identify exactly how abnormal other people are sometimes hahaha
11:37 PM
I'm unfamiliar with what exactly "mania" umbrellas in general but probably
11:38 PM
taking a risk and suceeding feels good usually
Avatar
yeah the way I've heard mania is the removal of the usual barriers, limitations, self-restrictions. Feeling cocky, invincible, etc
Avatar
but yeah I'm just, very glad I never had to deal with any of those meds
Avatar
How is everyone today?
Avatar
Doing good, staying out the rain and watching crazy youtube vids
Avatar
Sounds like a chill night
Avatar
Yep, I try to live well you know
Avatar
@Ivy It is a phobia, an irrational fear. I don’t let it control my thinking.
Avatar
Like a fear of zombies
5:29 AM
Or a space toilet falling and hitting you in the head and killing you
5:30 AM
Irrational things are great
5:30 AM
Aaaand I'm sharing this bc someone very intelligent pointed it out to me
5:30 AM
A UK, Canadian and Italian study has provided what researchers believe is the first observational evidence that our universe could be a vast and complex hologram.
5:30 AM
and would like the thoughts of others on this maybe?
Avatar
I hope it's true. The world, the USA mostly, is on the verge of destroying the planet, even without nukes. This world's future is bleak.
Avatar
It is easy to point the finger at an organizational thing, like just USA as a country
6:38 AM
the problem is within our society
6:38 AM
How our culture is consumerism based
6:38 AM
And designed to appeal to the little instant gratification monkey in our heads
6:38 AM
Endorphins, dopamine, etc
6:39 AM
Most of humanity is so busy just trying to survive in a gamed system how are they supposed to stop the talking heads from plunging the rest of us into despair with their drones and oil games?
6:39 AM
Oh sigh. I need to stop talking about this shit eventually >.>
Avatar
I hope to God that such observation is just a celestial, dimensional anomaly.
6:46 AM
Otherwise, the universe as a holograph would not be a technical holograph in our terms and definition... much like how DNA is basically biological bytes
6:47 AM
What a strange thought.
Avatar
Basicalyl yes
6:48 AM
its why it's such a messed up theory...it sounds garbage but can be applied to so much of reality it's maddening
6:48 AM
Like a 3d movie we can touch AND SMELL
6:48 AM
It's all just 0's and 1's when it gets down to it, pretty much
Avatar
This theory redefines everything I know honestly, but makes it somehow all make sense
6:51 AM
If artificial would mean man-made, then organic matter and machinations that are synonymous with artificiality would have to come from something higher
6:56 AM
I find that existence is two parts
6:56 AM
Information, and Will
6:56 AM
Information can exist but is largely worthless without will to interact and observe it.
6:57 AM
Will can exist, but without information it is largely worthless as there is...nothing
6:58 AM
Tis video also had quite an impact on me, you may appreciate it as well @Daisy
Avatar
Funnily enough I watched that last night
7:03 AM
Or Thursday night... I'm not very certain but it was fairly recent
Avatar
It's a good video
7:03 AM
Helped me understand a few things in metaphysics I had observed through my travels in the higher realms but did not have terms and handles for
7:03 AM
thats why I love quantum physics
7:04 AM
all the meta bullshit I do has a term for it, usually
7:04 AM
hahaha

I’m just hoping to confirm if this universe is virtual or not. So far, I’m undecided. My search for understanding continues.
Avatar
I feel the theory of the universe being a virtual computer simulation relies a bit on the idea that we’re nearing the end of observable and attainable knowledge of all things in the universe like a lot of people in the scientific like to believe.
2:44 PM
And I feel that is far from the truth considering the amount of unexplainable phenomena that still exists today, one being tulpamancy. I mean, we have a gist of what tulpamancy is on a psychological level but there are experiences that others have had that science is unable to explain without reaching for conclusions that have no proof. And I t’s hard to bring proof into metaphysics since proof is observable evidence in the physical reality and most metaphysics pertains to concepts which lie in the non physical.
2:46 PM
Based on evidence from past life case studies done by psychologists and other esoteric practices/concepts, I feel the theory of the universe being virtual reality simulated in a computer is metaphorical. We are most likely living in a simulation, just not a literal one which has a computer running things with the most complex equations out there
2:47 PM
I gotta get back to work. Just thought I’d put my 2 cents out there
Avatar
people discuss the brain in a vat scenario for hundreds of years really (edited)
5:00 PM
I'd say that the existence of some tulpas is leaning so much on the dream argument – it gives the other systemmate observers a truly unique chance to see how the philosophical thesis literally unwraps in their mind
Avatar
it's really a unique and super insightful viewpoint
Avatar
Anyone who thinks there is no more mystery or marvel in the universe is actually talking about the inside of their mind without knowing it I think
Avatar
What baffles me is how many people can deny the full experience of another based on preordained bias and chalk the experience up to delusion or something completely irrelevant.
5:47 PM
So many people out there who claim tulpamancers are people giving themselves schizophrenia. Then you have people IN the community who chalk metaphysical experiences as schizophrenia.
5:48 PM
I mean, schizophrenic experiences have been deemed as metaphysical in many cases and in some shamanic cultures, it’s considered a really good thing.
5:50 PM
Sometimes I feel the barrier can be broken only by a first-hand experience of something currently unexplainable.

Angel: @Rome Do you think that schizophrenia is good? Or are you just saying what others believe?
Avatar
I think that's taking what they said a bit literally
6:05 PM
As in, experiences in the Bible, Quran, Shintoism, and many other Faith's could all be chalked up to Schizophrenic tendencies.
6:05 PM
I have done a bunch of research on schizo and my presumption is that you cannot "turn it off"
6:06 PM
If I want to stop doin something meta, I just do
6:06 PM
Whether by willpower or whatever it is, I can turn that shit off like a switch
6:06 PM
Schizohrenics can't turn off their malfunctioning seretonin uptake etc
6:07 PM
That is just my own personal brand of crazy however
6:07 PM
I have met plenty of people in the meta community that cannot "turn it off"
6:07 PM
And plenty that can.
6:08 PM
And it also boils down to what you consider metaphysical - out of body can be metaphysical, and empathy can be metaphysical

TechnologicalContext 4/8/2018 6:08 PM
I thought it was dopamine which was the brain chemical involved
Avatar
Where you draw the line matters too
6:08 PM
Nah doggy
6:08 PM
Abilify blocks seretonin uptake receiver 22 and 24 or some shit
Avatar
Angel: You are right, people can't just stop being schizophrenic. I would say that just saying psychosis would make more sense. It adds in other mental disorder to the discussion, and makes it way more likely someone will actually have it.
Avatar
One of the most common medications for schizo (and depression too)
Avatar
TechnologicalContext 4/8/2018 6:08 PM
But there's others which work on dopamine
Avatar
Most mental illnesses like that are seretonin related but dopamine does play a part
6:09 PM
Ever heard of what MDMA does to the brain?
Avatar
TechnologicalContext 4/8/2018 6:09 PM
then again, chalking up mental disorders to a single brain chemical is a little suspect
6:09 PM
uhh, no
Avatar
It blasts the brain with seretonin
6:09 PM
All of it at once.
Avatar
donkerhonker 4/8/2018 6:09 PM
MDMA is pretty fun tbh but the crash isn't worth it
Avatar
It's why its called "ecstasy"
6:09 PM
Same @donkerhonker
Avatar
donkerhonker 4/8/2018 6:09 PM
Saying that the dreams you get on the fucking crash almost make that worth it
Avatar
But it takes months to regrow all that sertonin in the brain
6:10 PM
And not having enough makes you depressed or "crash"
Avatar
TechnologicalContext 4/8/2018 6:10 PM
the wiki says it's a bunch of chemicals
Avatar
Literally everything in the brain is "a bunch of chemicals"
